The Fabric Garden is proud to join forces with many of the nation's independent quilt shops and American Patchwork & Quilting to participate in the One Million Pillowcase Challenge!
Beginning November 15, and throughout the coming year, we challenge and encourage you to make as many pillowcases as you can for those who would be comforted by a nice, home-sewn pillowcase.
We are an official drop-off spot, and will be dividing the pillowcases received amongst local organizations and agencies. A homemade pillowcase can provide comfort for a cancer patient, hope for a foster child, encouragement for a battered woman, beauty for a nursing home resident, a bit of thanks for those in our VA hospitals, and so on...
We'll be hosting fun pillowcase events throughout the year, starting with a FREE Pillowcase Demo in December (date to be announced), and a Pizza Pillowcase Party in early 2010!
Let's get together with the rest of the country to make a million pillowcases, and make a difference in a million people's lives. Thank you!!
